Numerous agencies are represented in the single building of the Champion for Children Advocacy Center, so they can investigate charges, share information, and agree on proper treatment for child victims of abuse and neglect. Since its opening in October 1998, the Champion for Children Advocacy Center has served thousands of children cooperatively, devising positive remedies for the damage done to the innocent.
The Ila & Kinsley Cox Living Memorial Fund helps families with seriously ill or injured children, and seriously ill or injured parents with minor children in their care. This Memorial Fund can assist with travel, utilities, food, and other non-medical expenses related to serious illness or injury.
Throughout her own battle with cancer, Lindsey Hammortree’s desire was to help other children with cancer. Lindsey’s Wish was established in honor of Lindsey, to help children in Highlands County who are battling cancer, and extend hope to families who are wishing for a better tomorrow. One person can make a difference!
This fund provides emergency assistance to parents / caretakers who have minor children in their care, custody and control. During these difficult times, many families find themselves struggling financially due to unexpected and unanticipated events in their lives. Assistance can be provided if the family meets strict criteria.
The Champion for Children Circle Theatre offers classes, programs, and theatrical opportunities for budding artists to bring their talents to full bloom in Visual Art, Music, Dance, Theatre and Media. This beautiful historic venue is also be available for special events rental.
